Dr Monique Damasco

Dr Monique Damasco is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest in minimally invasive pelvic surgery. She completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle and specialty training at St George Public Hospital, The Royal Hospital for Women and The Royal Women’s Hospital.

Dr Damasco worked as a fellow in Medical Imaging (ultrasound) at the Royal Hospital for Women, and later obtained a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She undertook her fellowship training in Advanced Laparoscopy at the Royal Women’s Hospital – Melbourne, where she gained extensive experience with endoscopic techniques (laparoscopy “keyhole surgery” and hysteroscopy) that enable treatment of common and complex problems with minimal impact to your health and improved recovery.

Dr Damasco is also appointed at Liverpool Public Hospital as a staff specialist working in the Complex Pelvic Surgery Unit, and actively teaching trainees of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and medical students of UNSW.

Dr Damasco is able to consult in fluent Portuguese.
